Classic Qualifier Saturday 10th September 2016
22 anglers fished the lastest classic qualifier on the Specimen Lake
Conditions were Highs of 15c with rain & drizzle, overcast.
It was local rod, Paul Cook (Frenzee) who won the day with 188-01-00 of carp.
Paul started on The Method and later caught at 6m with meat & dead reds down his edge to finish the day with style.
Paul qualifies for the May 2017 Final
2nd placed Ray Lamb (Larford) drew peg 7 and struggled for the first 60 mins of the match. When he picked up the pellet waggler it was game over. Ray caught as quick as he could cast in weighing 143-06-00
3nd placed Neil Colcolme drew peg 16. The Larford backed rod caught on bomb & pellet to finish the day with 137-00-00
4th placed Jack O’Sullivan (Oakengates) drew peg 13 and finished the day with 136-10-00 fishing Method & bomb.
5th placed Mark Skidmore (Larford) drew peg 19 finishing the day with 110-02-00
6th overall was Simon Fry (Garbolino) who drew peg 25 landing 90-01-00
